Newborough Kidz Club provides flexible, reliable childcare to support working families. Based on the site of Newborough C of E Primary School, our Breakfast Club opens at 7.45am, giving parents the opportunity to get to work knowing their children are cared for before the school day begins. Our After School Club runs from the end of the school day until 6.00pm, helping parents balance work commitments with family life.
During school holidays, our Holiday Club operates from 8.00am until 6.00pm, providing a welcoming and engaging environment for children aged 4–11 from Peterborough and the surrounding areas, regardless of which school they attend. This offers parents dependable childcare throughout the school holidays, helping them manage work commitments without worrying about school closures.
Newborough Kidz Club is a family-run business led by a mum and daughter team, bringing together over 35 years of childcare experience. Kim has worked in childcare since 2000, while Drew has been working in childcare since 2016 and also works within the attached Primary School. As a family-run setting, we understand first-hand the challenges of balancing work and family life. We aim to make childcare as straightforward and reassuring as possible, building strong relationships with parents and working together to meet each child's individual needs.
We believe that childcare should be about more than simply providing supervision. At Newborough Kidz Club, we want to create a true home-from-home where children feel safe, loved, happy and valued. We want every child to feel comfortable being themselves, knowing they are cared for by familiar, friendly adults who take the time to get to know them as individuals.
We recognise that every child is unique and encourage independent play, helping them develop confidence, social skills and independence. Our range of creative, imaginative, educational and physical activities allows children to learn, explore, make friends and have fun outside the classroom.
Our close links with Newborough C of E Primary School, alongside Drew's experience working within the school, help create continuity between home, school and childcare. We believe that working closely with parents and understanding each child's individual needs helps us provide a consistent, caring and supportive environment where children can thrive.
